Week 2 Summary
We are now fully into the rhythm of a new school year. Students are settled into their health and safety protocols as well as the daily schedule and expectations of their courses. As I visit classrooms they are busy with purposeful learning and engagement. There are science labs, woodwork projects, physical activity, language learning, math lessons, essay writing…all the usual learning experiences for students.
Further to that we are doing the community building activities that we pride ourselves on. This past Thursday, our LINK Crew leaders hosted a Hot Chocolate event for our grade 8s and this week we have Terry Fox walks and fundraising sponsored by Senior Leadership and Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday. School is feeling back to normal with purposeful and meaningful learning and student connections to the school community
Reminder – Monday, September 28th is a NON-INSTRUCTIONAL day. Students do not attend school and return Tuesday, September 29th. Teachers will be at school working on school goals & curriculum planning.
