On-line Payment Option now available for School Fees and Yearbooks
In response to popular demand, School District No. 42 is now offering parents/guardians online options for payment of student fees ($28) and yearbooks ($55).
Before parents/guardians can use this new online option, they must visit the new site at https://parents.sd42.ca and register for an account.
Student Fees support a multitude of student activities in the building that build culture and foster a warm and caring environment for WSS community. The funds are shared amongst groups like student leadership that host events throughout the school year. They work continuously on projects that contribute to the energetic and positive school culture by promoting and encouraging student participation in numerous activities like Spirit Weeks, Halloween Festivities, Christmas Events, Spring Events, and Gym Riots. In addition they plan, organize and support a number of events whenever called upon, for example, last year they helped with the organization of a Westview Basketball Tournament.
Student fees also support Westview athletes with the growing number of athletic programs offered at Westview the funds are a necessity.
In addition, these fees are also used to host high quality guest speakers to educate students on current and relevant topics such as Social Media & Awareness Education, Social Justice, Self Esteem, Bullying, and Road Safety.
Student fees are incredibly important in providing a host of other meaningful services and activities beyond the classroom for our students. Westview’s app (electronic planner) is also accessible to students through the collection of Student Fees.
