NEWSLETTER #16
Nov. 30th, 2020
Weekly Summary
This past week we started Quarter 2 with all students beginning two new classes. Our Grade 8s have begun the CATS Rotations for both classes. In each class they rotate through 5 different CATS classes. These classes include 2D & 3D Art, Woodwork & Metalwork, Textiles & Aboriginal Arts, Computers & Digital Media and Foods & Careers 8. These classes allow students to make elective choices for next year, but more importantly give students hands-on learning experience in a wide variety of areas. As can be seen in the pictures below, students will learn how to cut and file metal, make pancakes (& clean up too), do 3D computer design, create beautiful art & create with wood & much more.
A few reminders, all students were issued a paper report card last week as well as being viewable on MyClass. Our schedule will still be the same for Quarter 2, with our students in grades 8-12 having Blended Time built into their schedules. This is instructional time and teachers may require a student or students to remain if required.
