This initiative is a long time coming and we are excited to finally start! On Tuesday, September 27, from 6-8pm, the Library will be hosting an open house with the goal of connecting more of the Maple Ridge West community with WSS. One of the gaps we have, at this end of town, is access to a community center and library.
The idea is that any family connected to WSS via a student with an active student number will be able to attend and have the ability to:
- Take out books (the parameters will be clearly explained to anyone taking books out)
- Use technology
- Get help with online tasks (Google Classroom, viewing Report Cards, simple tutorials for accessing online work, etc.)
- Play board games
Come and join us! There will also be snacks, coffee, tea, etc.
Upcoming Open House Dates for 2022/2023:
Tuesday, November 22 (a week after Report Card #1 in the hopes of creating an opportunity to help families with access)
