Enjoy the summer!

This has been a school year that finished with such an immense transition and I am proud of how both our students & staff transitioned online. As a school we are so appreciative of the support of families as students moved to online/remote learning. Your support at home was vital in providing an opportunity for students to succeed during these challenging times. The resilience and optimism of our students was truly evident since March and I am proud of our Westview school community. We don’t know what the Fall will bring but I know we will face the challenges head on. I am particularly proud of our 2020 Westview Graduates who have been an exceptional group all five years and with the inability to have a graduation ceremony, dinner & dance and Dry Grad event, chose as a group to donate the $5,000 that they raised to the MR Friends in Need Food Bank. Their generosity is such a statement of the quality of students and their commitment to our community. We are so proud of the 2020 Westview Grad Class.

We wish all students and families a healthy and safe summer vacation.

Final Report Cards – June 25th
Final Report cards are available for download from MyEd on June 25th. If you have any questions about accessing MyEd please do not hesitate to email Anne_Hibbeln@sd42.ca.

Grad 2020 – June 24th
Our virtual graduation ceremony will be viewable & downloadable June 24th. We hope that you are able to view it at 7:00pm. This is the same day and time we had booked for our commencement ceremony. Information for viewing & downloading will be sent to all grade 12s on Monday, June 22nd.

Looking ahead to the Fall
The Provincial Health Officer will direct what stage we return to in the Fall. We are currently in Stage 3 with 20% of students daily. Stage 2 has 40% of students return daily and Stage 1 is our typical school day with 100%. How we return will most likely be determined over the summer based on how the province is managing Covid-19. We will post information to our school website and send via the parent portal once we have direction.
