Important List of Graduation Due Dates!
Grad Banquet – Saturday, June 6, 2026
- Venue– Meadow Gardens Golf Course
- Reception 4:30pm – 6pm
- Dinner & Dance 6pm – 10:30pm
Dry Grad – Saturday, June 6 – Sunday, June 7, 2026
- Venue– Westview Secondary
- Doors open 11:30pm – 5am
Convocation (Ceremony) – Tuesday, June 9th, 2026
- Venue– Chandos Theatre (10238 – 168 Street, Surrey)
- Grads arrive at 5pm for a walk through
- Doors for guests open at 6pm
- Ceremony starts at 7pm
Mountain West will have a photographer at the in person ceremonies and you will have your photo taken with your certificate. You will have your cap and gown for the weekend prior to the ceremony. Please arrange a time to take photos with family and friends. You will return your graduation gown immediately following the ceremony.
Grad Assemblies!
- TBA! GRAD ASSEMBLY #1 – In the MPR during Flex. We will be holding our first Grad Assembly!!
- TBA! GRAD ASSEMBLY #2 – In the MPR during Flex. We will share important information and dates with you. Plan to attend.
- TBA! GRAD ASSEMBLY #3 – In the MPR during Flex. This is our last assembly and we will share important information and dates with you. Plan to attend.
Graduation Regalia & Honour Stoles
Graduation regalia will be handed out to students on DATE TBD following the graduation rehearsal in the MPR.
Graduation Regalia
You will all wear a navy cap and gown with a white “V” stole.
Honours:
- If you have been on the honour role in grades 10, 11 and 12 you will also wear a silver honour stole.
- If you are on the principal’s list you will also wear a blue and white cord.
- If you are valedictorian you will wear a baby blue cord.
- If you are the governor general award winner you will wear a bronze cord.
All regalia, honours stoles and cords will be returned immediately following the graduation ceremony. You will keep the graduation cap.

- Please email or bring a baby photo to Mr. Brent Kingman, room 1021. Or you can email it to: brent_kingman@sd42.ca these are DUE: TBA!
All yearbook quotes must be school appropriate and respectful of others. All yearbook quotes will be reviewed by a committee to deem the quote to be usable or not. Yearbook quotes should be something that represents you, your talents, your hobbies, your interests, or a reflection on your personality. We encourage you to come up with your own quote, but quotes from others are acceptable.
Make sure to pay attention to who your quote is from and be critical of their past.
Your quote will be reviewed by a panel of Teachers and Admin (Principals) so make sure your quote is not harmful to anyone or overly vague in its meaning. You may not be able to rewrite depending on when your quote is submitted the earlier your quote is handed in the more likely it will get reviewed quicker. If you are asked to rewrite you will still need to meet our current deadline.
