Dear Parent/Guardian:
Public Health will be offering immunizations in the school setting to grades 9 and 10 students. International students staying for 6 months or greater will be offered immunizations at the school. The COVID 19 vaccine will not be provided as part of the Grade 9 and 10 immunization program.
Students have been given their consent forms to bring home and return no later than February 11th. If your child has not received one, please contact the health nurse below.
The immunization dates booked for Westview are Thursday February 24th, 2022 (grade 9), & Friday February 25th, 2022 (grade 10) at 8:30am.
The Public Health staff will be following the Fraser Health COVID safety recommendations for the school-based immunization program. Attached is the print out for the recommendations provided on the BCCDC website.
Students with signed consents who are absent on immunization day or who refused vaccine the day of the clinic will be contacted by public health after the immunization date and be offered to attend a catch-up clinic at the Health Unit.
Mature minor consent for eligible vaccines will be available for students if signed consent forms are not received by the date we are immunizing at the school. The Infants Act, Mature Minor Consent and Immunization health file attached will also be provided along with the students consent form.
The school nurse lead of the Grade 9 and 10 immunization program is Jana Schrader and you can find our contact information below should you have any questions.
