Attention: Parents/Guardians of Grade 9 students:
RE: Grade 9 Routine Immunizations
On February 2nd, 2018, Public Health nurses will be at Thomas Haney (in the library) from 8:30 – 11:00 am to immunize grade nine students as part of the routine BC immunization program. Immunization consent forms will be sent home with your child this week. We are asking that students return completed consent forms prior to the immunization date. Blank forms are available in the office.
If consent forms are not returned completed your child will be offered the Mature Minor consent process. Please find out more about this process in the below link.

The following vaccines are routinely offered to all students in grade 9:
1. Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (TdaP) vaccine
2. Meningococcal Quadrivalent Vaccine (protects against 4 types of meningococcal bacteria: types A, C, Y and W-135)
- In 2016 this vaccine replaced the Men C vaccine offered in grade 6.
- This is the same vaccine being offered for the Meningococcal Outbreak in the Interior
