Grade 7 Day: May 25, 2022

We are looking forward to welcoming our incoming grade 8 students on Wednesday, May 25th from 8:30-2:20pm. On this day, students will be introduced to our unique model, have a chance to meet and interact with teachers, student senior mentors and fellow members of the class of 2027. Our shape of the day will be as follows:

8:30am Students arrive at Thomas Haney and head to the rotunda to check in and collect their name tags.

8:48-10:52am Students rotate amongst 4 classes.

10:55-11:54am We will provide the students with a BBQ lunch.

11:58-1:36pm Students will rotate amongst 3 classes.

1:39-2:10pm Scavenger Hunt led by Leadership Students

2:10-2:20pm Assembly and Dismissal

In terms of what the students should bring with them, all they will need is a pencil or pen. If the student has applied to be in the Peak Pod, there will be a tryout during the afternoon of our grade 7 day so they will need to bring athletic apparel and footwear.

We are so excited to welcome our incoming grade 8 students. Next week, parents will receive an email directly from Thomas Haney with additional details. Please feel free to contact Lisa Kania at (604) 463-2001 if you have any questions.
