
June 2026 BC adventure
Are you looking to explore amazing areas, like natural Hotsprings, cycling scenic trestle bridges over deep canyons, sunsets on mountain tops, speed racing around Area 21 large outdoor Go kart track, ziplining across gorges, visiting historical and ghost towns in BC all while hanging out with friends and staying in luxury hotels? The BC Adventure Road trip will take students through a desert into the mountainous Kootenays and through Revelstoke and Oyama on a 10-day action packed excursion.
Interested students in grades 11 and 12 must come to an informal meeting today February 3 2026 at lunch in the library where they can pick up an interest form. Deadline for returning the form will be February 10th. Info is also out on the parent portal.
Travel Dates: June 19th – June 28th, 2026 (10 days / 9 nights)
Destinations: Maple Ridge → Manning Park → Oliver (Area 27 Kart Track) → Keremeos → Osoyoos → Christina Lake → Rossland (Mnt Biking) → New Denver → Nakusp (Hot Springs) → Revelstoke → 3 Valley Gap (Ghost Town) → Oyama (Zipline Course) → Vernon → Myra Canyon Trestle Bridges → Maple Ridge
Students will embark on a 10-day, 9-night BC Adventure Road Trip filled with outdoor exploration, culture, and unforgettable experiences.
This amazing route includes:
- 1 night stay at Manning Park Resort: Guided hiking, gorgeous sunset viewpoint, group dinner and collaboration time.
- 1 night stay at Coast Hotel in Oliver: Outdoor Go Karting Track at Area 27 in Oliver.
- Interesting scenic drive and culinary stops in Keremeos, Osoyoos, Greenwood and Christina Lake, BC before entering the Kootenays.
- 2 Nights stay in beautiful Rossland, BC: Guided hiking in the Rossland Range. Historic walk in town. Shopping time. Possibility for mountain biking at Red Mountain or local trails. Bike rental at an additional cost. Explore Gyro Park on the Columbia River in Trail before continuing to New Denver.
- The Nikkei Internment Museum in New Denver, BC
- 1 night stay at The Lodge at Arrow Lakes in Nakusp, BC
- Entrance to Nakusp Hot Springs
- Stopover at Halfway Hotsprings for a backcountry soak beside the river.
- 2 night’s stay at Three Valley Gap Ghost Town (near Revelstoke): Ghost town entrance and hiking in Revy.
- 2 nights at The Prestige Lodge in Vernon, Oyama, Kelowna area. Ziplining course in Oyama.
- Bike rental and Cycling the historic trestle bridges at Myra Canyon.
- Return to Maple Ridge
Important info: Students will be sharing rooms in groups of 4. Typical room assignment will be 2 queen beds. Sign up should be done with group of friends or be willing to share space with others.
Payment: Total Estimated Cost: ~ $1,300 per student which includes travel costs, 9 nights in hotels (shared rooms), some food, all listed activities above with the exception of bike rentals in Rossland. Some activities like GoKarting and Ziplining can be optional (for reduced cost). Additional company waivers will be required for those activities. (Final cost to be confirmed once group is determined) Deposit of $300 due by February 20th, 2026. Final payment of about $1000 due by April 15th, 2026.
Cancellation policy: Full refund will be provided if trip is cancelled by SRT or school district. $300 deposit refundable until February 20th, 2026 – Cancel for any reason. February 20th, 2026 onward: Deposit portion is non-refundable unless the cancelled student spot can be filled by another approved student. Parents may opt to purchase their own cancellation coverage for the trip costs.
Guides / Chaperones for the trip will be:
Ms. Tracy Adams, Mr. Derren Ahern and Mr. Steve Demos or another staff member.
Transportation Plan: Students will travel by 15 passenger van and / or chaperone personal vehicle or rental vans. Each of these different activities has safety requirements that students will be expected to understand and comply.
