This is an exciting year for our SRT grads. We have many fun events planned throughout the school year. Please mark your calendar for these important dates:
Saturday, May 29 – Banquet/Dry Grad @ Meadow Gardens / SRT
Tuesday, June 15 – Graduation Ceremony @ Chandos Pattison Auditorium, Surrey
DRY GRAD CHAIR – We are looking for a grade 12 parent to volunteer to chair our grad committee. This role coordinates dry grad, organizes parent volunteers/committees, works within the budget provided and runs some small fundraisers that have worked well in the past. This role works in partnership with SRT staff member, Christine Watts who has run this event for the past 15 years. Many things have already been booked and set up. The role of the grad chair needs to be someone with great communication skills and have the time available in their schedule to run a large event. If you think you might be willing to take this on but have questions, please reach out to Christine_Watts@sd42.ca. This is such a fun and memorable event for our grads and we appreciate all the parents who volunteer to help make this event successful.
The first grad parent meeting will be held in October. Once we confirm a date, we will publish that on the parent portal as well as on our website (grad tab at the top of the homepage).
GRAD CLOTHING – We have an online clothing store open now for grad 2027 hoodies/sweatpants. Orders can be made via the online store until Thursday, October 1. We are hoping to have clothing delivered by the end of October.
GRADE 12 PANCAKE BREAKFAST – On Tuesday, September 15 @ 9:45 am we will be having a grade 12 assembly with a pancake breakfast. All our grade 12 students are invited, including all trades kids even if they may not be graduating with SRT.
GRAD CRUISE – There is a fee portal open now for the upcoming grad cruise booked for Monday, October 5 (evening). This event is just for SRT grade 12 students (no guests). All the information is noted on the field trip form that was sent out earlier this week. Please be advised that if you note cash payment instead of portal, students must bring in the cash ASAP. They will not be recorded as attending the cruise unless payment has been received. Any questions can be directed to our principal, Darren_Rowell@sd42.ca
