With our banquet and dry grad events just 4 weeks away, there is still a lot to get done. If you have not had a chance to volunteer yet, and would like to, please email Kayla at srtgrad2026@gmail.com. An event this size takes many parents in order to make this successful and safe for our students. We are particularly looking for help with set up on Friday evening at SRT and/or clean up on early Sunday morning, 4:00 a.m. If you cannot stay up to help at dry grad but would be willing to come in fresh to help clean up at 4:00 a.m. until about 6:00 a.m., that would be a big help. Please email Kayla if this is something you can help with.
BANQUET DINNER – Please email Christine_Watts@sd42.ca if your child has any dietary concerns for the banquet. Most things on the buffet are gluten free and many vegetarian options. If your child is vegan, we can arrange a separate meal to be served.
BANQUET SEATING – table selections will be done after the May long weekend, Tuesday, May 19th @ lunch. Grads will sign up for a spot for themselves and their guest according to when they paid out their ticket. The list will be posted on Friday before the long weekend. There is 8 people to a table and grads are free to move around after dinner is done. Grads who are not able to come on this day may have a friends sign up on their behalf.
SIGN UP GENIUS – We have a sign up genius set up for some of the practical donations that are needed for dry grad such as paper products, candy/chocolate (anything/everything), juice boxes etc. If you can help please click on the link below to sign up.

CEREMONY TICKETS – We are pleased to let parents know that we are releasing an additional 2 tickets per family. If your family still requires over and above these additional tickets, please email Christine_Watts@sd42.ca after the May long weekend.
GOWN & TICKET PICK UP – A reminder that ceremony tickets will be available when the grad picks up their cap and gown. These gowns are rented from Winnipeg so we won’t know the exact date for pick up but we always aim to have them ready for grads to have for the weekend prior for any family functions.
SCHOLARSHIPS/BURSARIES – A highlight for our ceremony is always acknowledging the achievements of our grads. If your child has received a scholarship/bursary, please send a copy of the letter to Mrs. Watts.
ACCESSIBLITY SEATING – The Chandos Theatre is very accessible with a gentle slope down. However, if your family requires accessibility seating, please email Mrs. Watts.
CEREMONY TIMELINE – We cannot give an exact time on when the ceremony will be completed but generally we finished no later than 7:30 p.m.

SRT Banquet/Dry Grad – Saturday, May 30 @ Meadow Gardens, Pitt Meadows. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and a more detailed timeline will be posted in a couple of weeks.
Final payment is now due for our banquet/dry grad events. Please pay via the parent portal or with cash/cheque (payable to SRT) to the office. The order in which grads will choose a spot at the banquet for themselves and/or their guest, is the order in which they pay out their final balance. Table selections won’t happen until after the May long weekend and grads will be given notice of the exact date. Guest forms will be available on Monday, April 13. The cost of a guest is not yet determined.

Graduation Ceremony Tickets
We are happy to let families know that we have some additional graduation ceremony tickets available. For this round, each grad can purchase up to 2 tickets. Towards the end of April, if there are more tickets available, we will release another round. To make tracking easier, payment has to be made with cash/cheque (payable to SRT). Payment can be made at the office anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Any questions regarding the ceremony should be directed to Mrs. Watts by emailing, Christine_Watts@sd42ca
A reminder that tickets will be available for pick up the week prior to the ceremony along with the cap and gown, not before then. Grads will be notified as to which day this will be closer to the ceremony date.
ACCESSIBILITY SEATING – The Chandos Theatre is very accessible for those family members with mobility issues as the slope down is very gradual. However if you have a family member that requires accessibility seating, please email Mrs. Watts.
SCHOLARSHIPS/BURSARIES – A highlight at our graduation ceremony is always acknowledging the achievements of our grads. If your child receives a scholarship or bursary from a college or university, please forward the letter which notes the details of the offer to Mrs. Watts at the above email.

Banquet/Dry Grad fees are $300.00 per grad. These fees cover the banquet at Meadow Gardens, dry grad events at SRT and the gown rental for the graduation ceremony. The fees are divided up, half due by the end of October and the other half due immediately after spring break. We encourage payment on the parent portal but cash/cheque (cheques payable to SRT) can also be submitted to the office (no post-dated cheques please). Grads also have the option of paying the full $300 but this needs to be submitted with cash/cheque.
