Dear Grade 7 Students,
Welcome, future Titans!
We are so excited to welcome students from more than 18 elementary schools to Samuel Robertson Technical Secondary School on May 20, 2026 for Grade 8 Orientation Day.
Starting high school is a big step, and it is completely normal to feel excited, nervous, curious, or all three at once. Many students feel that way before their first visit. Please know that you will be well looked after from the moment you arrive. Our staff, student leaders, and administration team are here to help you feel comfortable, welcomed, and ready for this next chapter.
When you arrive at 8:15 AM, our fantastic Link Crew leaders will greet you and give you your personalized schedule for the day. You will have the chance to explore the school, meet new people, take part in fun activities, visit classes, and experience what life at SRT is all about.
You will also enjoy a BBQ lunch with a vegetarian option available, along with live music from School of Rock.
Next year’s administration team is excited to support you:
- Darren Rowell – Principal, taking over from Mr. Elphick
- Allison Wall – Vice Principal (Grades 8 and 10), taking over from Ms. Clayton
- Karl-Lindgren Streicher – Vice Principal (Grades 9 and 11)
Your Grade 8 counsellor next year will be Ms. Swire, who will be there to support students throughout the year.
Please bring a few basic supplies such as paper, pens, and a small binder. Everything else will be provided.
We cannot wait to meet you, welcome you into our Titan community, and help make your transition to high school a great one.
