If you wish to drive students for field trips or athletic events, you will need to provide the school with your Driver’s Abstract and complete a Volunteer Driver Application. Note that you need a minimum of $1,000,000 in Third Party Liability coverage.
How to Obtain your Driver’s Abstract
To obtain a copy of your Driver’s Abstract follow on of the steps below:
1. Phone Request – easiest and quickest way
Call 604-661-2800 between 8:00am and 5:00pm. You will be asked for your DL number and password, usually your mother’s maiden name. Have abstract emailed to Srt_reception@sd42.ca.
2. Internet Request
ICBC link to request your driving record.
3. In Person
Attend ICBC Drivers Licensing Office located at 175 – 22470 Dewdney Trunk open from 8:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday.
