The Grade 10 Numeracy Assessment and Literacy Assessment are a provincial assessment that assesses student proficiency in numeracy and literacy. It is a graduation requirement and students take the assessment in their Grade 10 year.
The Grade 12 Literacy Assessment is a provincial assessment that assesses student proficiency in literacy. It is a graduation requirement and completed during students’ Grade 12 year.
The results are visible on the student transcript (see example below).
All Literacy 10 assessments will show RM = Requirement met by completion of the Literacy 10 Assessment.
Numeracy 10 and Literacy 12 will show 1 = Emerging, 2 = Developing, 3 = Proficient, 4 = Extending.
A student can retake an assessment taken.
