Putting on the Glitz – March

Putting on the Glitz is a grassroots initiative involving PLEA employees, representatives from Ridge Meadows Community Service Agencies, local business and other partners.  We all work together to provide local high school graduates in need with ‘formal attire’ so that they can attend their graduation festivities with pride. Students are referred by the school counsellor.

Without such assistance many of these students could not afford to participate in celebrating this important milestone due to financial constraints. Anyone who knows a grad that might like some support can make a referral through any SD42 high school counsellor.

We are  always accepting monetary donations, as well as donations of gently used grad outfits – gowns, suits, tuxedos, grad gowns, dress shoes, jewelry and accessories – as well as donations of services such as dry cleaning, alterations, movers, food vendors and more. Without this kind of assistance, there are many students who would not be able to afford to participate in the celebration of this milestone in their life.
