WHODUNIT? Don’t miss the opportunity to see a murder mystery in action! Tickets for THSS’s production of The Mousetrap are on sale daily at lunch. Show dates are Jan. 28 – 30th at 7:00 pm with a matinée performance on Wednesday, January 28th. Tickets are only $6 for students and seniors, and $8 for adults, so make sure you get your tickets early before they sell out!

The course planning assemblies for next year are scheduled as followed:

Grade 8: January 28th Block 2 in Rotunda

Grade 9: February 23rd Y block in Rotunda

Grade 10: February 16th Y block in Rotunda

Grade 11: February 2nd Y block in Rotunda

Applied Skills Rotation: Just a reminder that the last class for block A is Monday, February 2nd, and the new class starts February 3^rd. The last class for block H is February 3rd, and the new class begins on February 5^th. The rotation follows the layout on page 180 in the student planner.

GRAD INFO

GRAD FEES are available to be paid on the parent portal.

Cap & Gown $50.00, Dinner / Dance $60.00 per ticket (you can purchase 2 if you are bringing a guest), Dry Grad $30.00 per ticket (you can purchase 2 if you are bringing a guest). Parents will be welcome to attend early at Meadow Gardens for photos, but the Dinner / Dance is for students and one guest only (not parents).

POST-SECONDARY INFORMATION:

The new SD#42 2015 Scholarship book is now out! Please see the Career Centre website or the SD#42 website to find the booklet.

• The Concordia University application for September 2015 will be unavailable from January 22 until January 26 at noon (Eastern Standard Time) as they will be upgrading their online application software.
• McGill University’s application deadline for Canadian high school students is February 1.
• Capilano’s School of Performing Arts application deadline is February 2. For any questions regarding these programs please contact Capilano at svpa@capilano.ca.

SCHOLARSHIPS & BURSARIES:

Scholarship Information Presentations: This will include the SD42 Awards, Dogwood Awards, Art Council Awards and Student Loans etc. Students wanting to apply for the District Scholarships should attend ONE of the three sessions:
