Attention French and Spanish 12 students: See your teachers this week for a field trip form for the upcoming field trip to Commercial Drive.

Attention Grade 8 Students:  Your Career Education package is due to your English teacher by April 21. If you have not received this package, check with your English teacher.

Battle of the Books The Battle will take place at Westview on Thursday, April 20th.

Basketball uniforms: These students must hand in their uniforms to Mrs. Clayton ASAP or deposits will be cashed:  Jaden Dyer, Darian Smerdal, Tomislav Stojoic, Bryson Haywood

Course Selection: Gr 9:  There’s only one grade 9 student left who must see Mr. von Matt ASAP for course selection: Chantelle Bronswyk!

Library News:

  • the library (including book and laptop sign-out) will be closed on Thursday, April 20 as Mrs. Fulgueras will be on the Battle of The Books field trip.  Plan your week accordingly.
  • Hannah Lee, Sydney Pahl, Hannah Lord, Kira Burgess, and Anna Sherwood please see Mrs. Fulgueras about Battle of the Books and/or drop your permission form in her mail tray.  Thanks

Spring Fling Fundraising Dinner: Support agriculture education and enjoy a gourmet dinner prepared by Red Seal chefs and Culinary Arts students of the Take a Bite of BC program. Wednesday, April 19: ‘Food for Naught’ A workshop about food in our culture. Room 2008 @ lunch enjoy FREE earth day COOKIES!

Thursday, April 20: The New Planet Earth II screening. Come watch @ lunch in room 2008. FREE earth day cookies!

Friday, April 21: Play Kahoot in the Rotunda at lunch! Staff and students, come test your worldly knowledge! GREAT PRIZES!

WED/THURS/FRI – Buy a button $1 in the rotunda @ lunch. Proceeds go to the World Wildlife Fund

Page 104 – My School Plan for the Week:  Cross out Wednesday: Student Led Conference

Page 105 – Wednesday, April 12 is a regular Wednesday (BCDEF), NOT student led conferences

Page 105 – Friday, April 14 is Good Friday (no school)

Page 106 – Monday, April 17 is a holiday (Easter Monday)

Page 109 – Thursday, April 27 is Student-Led Conferences 1:00-4:00; 6:00-8:00 (no classes)

IMPORTANT GRAD INFORMATION:

·        Dogwood scholarship applications are now available in the career center.  We have 28 to give away this year.  Applications are due on April 19 and presentations will be on May 2 and 3.

·        DRY GRAD If you are a 2017 Grad and have purchased a ticket to attend dry grad – you need to pick up the “Safe ride home” package (pink) in the office.  If you have also purchased a guest ticket for dry grad – be sure to take a guest package also (green). Both packages are on the front desk.  These forms need to be returned to the office ASAP – you will not receive any of your Grad tickets until these forms are received by Mrs. Shamro.

·        If you have received a scholarship or bursary, please bring your letter of confirmation from the issuing institute to Mrs. Sekhon in the Career Centre.   We want to recognize and congratulate you at the Grad ceremony!
