Congratulations to Madelyn Huston who won her flight running 3 miles in 19 minutes and 13 seconds at the Sunfair Invitational Cross Country race this past weekend in Washington State!
Cross country runners: please meet outside of the Suddaby room for a mandatory meeting and practice today at 2:45pm. Our first meet is this Thursday at Bear Creek!
There is a Senior Boys’ Soccer Game at SRT today
Thank you to all the lovely students who participated in the Great Canadian Shoreline clean up organized by the THSS eco action group yesterday! We walked to Cottonwood Creek and cleaned up litter on the way there and at the creek itself. The creek was very littered but it was left clean and tidy. We collected about 15 garbage bags of litter!! Special thank you to Ms. D. and Ms. Godfrey for supervising as well.
PSI night is tonight, October 6: all grade 11 and especially 12’s who are considering attending post-secondary school in BC should come to PSI night on Tuesday from 6-8 pm in the Rotunda. Post-secondary schools from all across the lower mainland will be here to answer your questions and meet with you to discuss their programs and what courses you should be taking to ensure you are eligible to attend their school. Bring your parents!
Helping with senior girls’ volleyball: If you are interested in score keeping, down refereeing, or lining in the evenings for the senior girls volleyball games, please see Mrs. Clayton. You get paid for your time and you will be trained.
Skiers and boarders: Looking forward to hitting this slopes this year? Interested in coming to Big White, Whistler and Cypress? See Mr. Williams or Ms. Fischer to get the necessary forms in order to participate. Reminder that the Big White forms need to be back by this Friday.
All Aboriginal students and parents are invited to the 7th Annual Aboriginal Career Fair tomorrow, Wednesday, October 7 from 6 – 8 pm at Maple Ridge Secondary. Post-secondary institutions and organizations will be present to talk in classrooms and individually later in the cafeteria.

RETAKE PHOTO DAY – Wednesday, October 14: Prepay order envelopes are available in the office for those students that missed first photo day or are in need of a retake photo. Go cards for the new students of those who missed photo day will be taken without payment or form required. Photo proofs will not be available from retakes.
