Jersey Day: The student leadership team of Highland Park Elementary has organized Jersey Day this Thursday. Wear a sports jersey to school and donate $2.00 towards the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows KidSport chapter. All money collected will go directly towards supporting local kids by helping eliminate the financial barriers to sport participation so that all kids can play! Last year the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows KidSport chapter was able to help 253 kids participate in 20 different sports!
Skiers and Boarders: There will be an important meeting on Wednesday, April 15th at lunch in room 2010 for any students who signed up for this year’s ski and board trips to Cypress. Be there right away for important information regarding the cancelled trips.
The Table Tennis Club will not be meeting this week. Play will resume next Wednesday, April 22 @ 3 pm
Attention grade 10/11 girls. Fire Camp! Camp Ignite is in its 5th year this year and is a 4 day camp held during the summer, Aug 6-9 this year. It is a four-day camp that educates and inspires young women to follow their dreams. The camp is open to girls in grades 11-12 (ages 16-18), and gives them an introduction to the world of firefighting. See Mr. Wiens in the career centre this week for an application.
