SD42 Personal to Universal Conference

 Register now!

 

The SD42 Personal to Universal Conference will be held on November 12 & 13 and is open to all grade 10s, 11s and 12s. We have some amazing keynote speakers who will be exploring the cost of conflict, including Dr. Samantha Nutt, who has received the Order of Canada for her work with children in conflict zones around the world, and Retired Sergeant Debbie Bodkin, has investigated war crimes for the United Nations. We are also featuring a keynote multimedia presentation on residential schools and workshops on topics from migrant justice, to climate change, LGBTQ rights, humanitarian action and homelessness. If you are interested in learning more about local and global social justice issues, then this conference is for you! Please see your Social Studies teacher, or Ms. Godfrey for an application.
