TODAY:

• Senior Girls’ Soccer tryouts today (Monday) and Wednesday after school
• PE 10 Students: if you still need to do the first aid practical test, you can report to your teacher’s office at the start of Y block today, or on Monday, March 2^nd.

Grads: be sure to stop by the main office to record your height for your grad gown, and your t-shirt size for your dry grad shirt! Grads are also reminded that District Scholarships category A and B are due Monday, March 2 at 3:00pm. No Exceptions. Any questions ask a counselor or Mrs. Domitruk.

PE 10 Students

If you recently (Jan or Feb 2015) did first aid with Clayton, Coghill or Urquhart, you have two more days to do the first aid practical test. The two days are Y-block on Monday, March 2 or Y-block on Monday, March 23.  Report to your teacher’s office at the start of the block to do the test.

PE Leadership (or PE Student Aide)

If you are interested in taking this course next year you must apply.  You can do this by putting your first and last name on the signup sheet on the board next to the intramural board (outside the rotunda).  The sheet will be taken down on Friday, March 6.  A list with accepted applicants will be posted by Tuesday, April 7.

• Upcoming Thompson Rivers University application deadline date:
  • Respiratory Therapy: March 31, 2015
• SFU is having an open house at their Surrey campus on March 4 from 4:30 – 8:30. To register please visit: sfu.ca/surrey/openhouse.
• Kwantlen Polytechnic University will be here at Thomas Haney on Wednesday, March 4th for an information session. This is in Room #1070 at lunch. All students welcome.
• How to Fund Your Degree at KPU: this seminar will be held on March 5, 2015.  They will discuss financial aid options from scholarships to awards to loans. Held at the Langley Campus from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. If interested, please register online at kpu.ca/futurestudents/events/infosession.

SCHOLARSHIPS:

• BC School Sports Scholarship Program (2 @ $500). Application deadline is April 24, 2015.
• BC School Sports Badminton Scholarship (2 @ $500). Application deadline is May 1, 2015

• National Union of Public and General Employees Scholarship: 4 @ $1,500. Children, grandchildren (including foster children/grandchildren) of National Union of Public and General Employees current and retired members. • The Sabrina Shannon Memorial Award – 2 @ $1,000
