The languages department would like to congratulate Sadie Sugden-Harvey and Marlowe Evans for their excellent presentations at the District French Public Speaking Competition!  Both students will now be moving forward to the Provincials in May at SFU.  We know that they will proudly represent Thomas Haney Secondary and Maple Ridge School District with great skill.  Bravo les filles!
Eco-Action:  Thank you to all the TAs who participated in the Water Week survey distributed by the Eco-Action Group!  Congrats to TA#21, recipients of a platter of chocolate brownies!

 

Attention grade 10/11 girls. Fire Camp! Camp Ignite is in its 5th year this year and is a 4 day camp held during the summer, Aug 6-9 this year. It is a four-day camp that educates and inspires young women to follow their dreams. The camp is open to girls in grades 11-12 (ages 16-18), and gives them an introduction to the world of firefighting. See Mr. Wiens in the career centre this week for an application.  Please see the website at: http://campignite.com/

Playland Field Trip (May 5th): all students in Physics 11 or 12 interested in participating in the Playland Field Trip should pick up permission forms from the Science Kiosk.  First come – first served.  (Some seats may become available for Chemistry 11 & 12 and Biology 12 students)
