Winter Formal – February 19th: tickets will be on sale this week! This year’s theme is the Great Gatsby. You can request songs you’d like to hear played at the Winter Formal by placing your submissions into the Song Request Box in the rotunda. All songs must be school appropriate.
Anyone interested in playing WATERPOLO?
THSS, WSS, and SRT are trying to put together a combined team of water polo players to compete in a tournament May 22 at the Surrey Sport and Leisure Complex. Students would practice at our local leisure center a few times prior to the tournament. The head coach would be Cathryn Blanco from Westview. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Clayton in the PE area so that she can get your name and email address.

SD42 Trades & Academies Information Session
Tuesday, February 24th 7:00 – 9:00 pm
This is a great opportunity for interested parents and students to learn about the Academies and Trades programs available across the Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District. Join us to learn about these opportunities and to speak with teachers and staff from these programs. Our trades programs and academies include: automotive service tech, culinary arts, electrician, framing/carpentry, hair design, plumbing/fitting, masonry, metal fabrication, hockey academy, Microsoft IT academy, soccer academy, digital academy, equestrian academy.
The Art Institute of Vancouver’s SWEAT Program will be taking place March 19 – 22. This is a great opportunity for students to fulfill their work experience credit while exploring a creative career option. The application can be found at www.aivsweat.com and is due March 1. This program is open to students in Grade 11 and 12. The Art Institute will also be hosting its Annual Grad Fashion Show on March 24, 2015. The event titled FTHREE3 will incorporate Fashion, Food, and Film. It will be held at the Art Institute of Vancouver’s campus at 2665 Renfrew Street. There is an afternoon show for High School students and it includes a Fashion Workshop. For the past few years, the Art Institute has been hosting an Art Educator’s Appreciation Show. The goal of this event is to showcase the talent of High School teachers.
