Hockey Academy Coquitlam Crunch Field Trip 2025 (Crunch & Lunch)

We are arranging a field trip for students in the SRT Hockey Academy to participate in the “Coquitlam Crunch” hike on Thursday, June 19th Coquitlam.

The purpose of this trip is to enhance the current BC Secondary School Physical Education Curriculum and expose students to recreational & fitness opportunities in neighbouring communities.

Field Trip Regular Activities: “Doing the Crunch” a popular fitness challenge! An uphill 2.2 km climb which follows the BC Hydro right-of-way and extends to the top of Westwood Plateau -– a 242 metre elevation gain. Students will be climbing two sets of stairs – and over 890 steps. The group will stop in Port Coquitlam for lunch on the way back to the school. Purchasing lunch is completely optional. Students may bring their own lunch.
