Grade 12 Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre & Festival of Lights field trip

Students have the opportunity to visit the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre to explore primary sources and artefacts, include personal letters, photographs, toys and other items belonging to Holocaust victims and survivors. Additionally, students have the privilege to listen to a Holocaust survivor speaker share their stories and experiences of the persecution, discrimination and loss.

After a sombre afternoon of remembrance, reflection and learning, students will enjoy getting into the holiday spirit by visiting Van Dusen Gardens Festival of Lights to explore 15 acres of botanical gardens adorned with over 1 million twinkling lights, enjoy festive music, watch dancing light shows, and enjoy tasty treats from a variety of food vendors/food trucks and many holiday gift shops.
