Film and TV 11/12 / Drama 10/12 fieldtrip @The Rio

Students will be attending the Rio Theatre for a double feature of the films: Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The Thing. This will be part of a larger lesson on genre mashups and the difference between special vs practical effects.
The teacher will provide a lesson on certain elements of both films before watching them at the theatre. Lunch will be provided.
Disclaimer: The Thing is rated R for frightening scenes and violence. There will be several adults in attendance for supervision, but please be aware of this before signing your child up for this trip.
