June 11, 2026

End of year

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Tomorrow, Friday, June 12, marks the beginning of our year-end schedule at SRT. While the school year is quickly coming to a close, there are still many important classes, assessments, activities, and celebrations ahead.

Students have been made aware of the upcoming schedule, but it is equally important that parents and guardians understand what the next two weeks will look like. While not all teachers will be administering final exams, all classes will continue to engage students in meaningful year-end learning through projects, presentations, assessments, conferences, and other culminating activities.

Many of the remaining school days will operate on a double-block schedule. On these days, students attend two extended classes instead of their usual four, and must use a hall pass if they need to leave class—for example, to use the washroom. The morning block runs from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and the afternoon block runs from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Each double-block day begins and ends with a Flex/Tutorial period. The morning Flex/Tutorial period runs from 8:30 a.m. to 8:55 a.m., while the afternoon Flex/Tutorial period runs from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. These periods provide valuable opportunities for students to seek additional help from teachers, complete outstanding work, and prepare for final assessments.

Students wishing to attend the morning tutorial period must arrive by 8:30 a.m. Students arriving after 8:30 a.m. will be asked to wait outside until the 8:55 a.m. double block begins.

Please note that Tuesday, June 16, is the final day of cafeteria service. A limited amount of pizza will be available for purchase on June 17th,  18th and 19th.

The final day of regularly scheduled classes is Monday, June 22nd. However, the school will remain open through Wednesday, June 24 for students who need to complete outstanding assignments or assessments.
