A reminder to PMSS Grade 11s that the 2026-2027 Trade Application FIRM deadline is TOMORROW, February 27th by the end of the school day (at the school’s office).

Attention Grade 12s – Scholarship Season is here!
Important Information for Grade 12 students:
The 2026 SD42 Awards Booklet is now available! You can find it on the SD42 website under the Student Top Tab, as well as on pmssgrads.wordpress.com. This booklet outlines all district and school‑based scholarships, bursaries, and awards available to you.
Application Deadline:
Completed application packages must be submitted to the PMSS Career Centre no later than Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. **Late submissions will NOT be accepted, so please plan ahead!

French Cooking Event at PMSS – Thursday, February 12th

Reminder re Student-Led Parent Teacher Conference Day (Thursday, November 6, 2025)
Student-Led Parent Teacher Conference Day happening on Thursday November 6, 2025.
Of special note: Sign up is THROUGH the parent portal.
- We have a combination of our gym 5-minute conferences as well as some hybrid-multifamily classroom conferences which range from 10 – 15 minutes.
- Please be mindful of travel time between classrooms and the gym when booking your 5 minute gym slots.
- There are also ‘some’ drop-in spots available for the classroom hybrid conferences only that you can sign up on ‘the day of’.
- Grade 8 parents, talk to your child about which rotation they completed and visit with those 2 teachers, there is no need to book with all 10 rotation teachers.
Reminder that these are student-led, and students should attend with their family – this is especially important for the classroom hybrid conferences as the students will lead these with their families.
- Afternoon sessions run from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
- Evening sessions run from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
- There is NO SCHOOL THAT DAY FOR STUDENTS (other than attending their selected conference time with parents/guardians)
** Conference sign-up is done through the Parent Portal and opened Friday, October 24th. Sign-up will CLOSE at noon on Wednesday November 5th, 2025.

PMSS Post-Secondary Night – Wednesday, November 5th
PMSS is hosting a post-secondary evening on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. for all Grade 11 and 12 students and their parents/guardians. The following institutions will be attending:

- Each institution will give two back-to-back 30-minute presentations; one at 6:00 p.m. and one at 6:30 p.m. and then all institutions will be in the Multi-Purpose Room for a mini fair from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
- Parking: Enter the school through the main doors or the westside parking entrance. The gym entrance will be locked.

This is definitely a worthwhile event to attend if your son/daughter is thinking of enrolling in post-secondary after high school graduation. We hope you can join us!
Student Consent Forms now live on the PMSS Parent Portal

A number of consent forms for your student(s) are now on the Parent Portal awaiting your approval. An instruction guide on how to complete the consent forms is noted on the link below.

For your convenience, copies of these forms are available for your review on the district website at https://www.sd42.ca/consent-forms/. The school district website has a translate tool in the top right menu, which will produce approximate translations in a variety of languages.
