The PMSS Fine Arts Night is happening Thursday, April 30th! Come and support our Drama, Art, Photography and Music students! Drama performances from 5-6 pm in the Multipurpose Room and a Glow in the Dark Art Show upstairs from 6-8 pm. Experience incredible student artwork transformed by neon colors under blacklight! Bring your friends and family, snap some glowing photos, and celebrate the amazing talent in our school. This is an event you don’t want to miss!

Good morning all.

Just a reminder to register for TOMORROW’S (Thursday, April 16th) STUDENT-LED CONFERENCE DAY.  The Parent Portal registration window closes at 2:00 pm TODAY (Wednesday).  Students only attend during their pre-scheduled conference times.

Friday, April 17th is a LATE START – first bell rings for students at 9:45 a.m.

For those that ordered Mitchell’s Soup through the Music Program Fundraiser – pick-up with be Thursday, April 9th afterschool until 4:00 pm in the Multipurpose Room (MPR). If you or your student cannot please up, please arrange for a designate to grab your order.  Thank you for your support of the PMSS Music Program!

Next Thursday, April 16^th, 2026 is our final Student-Led Conference Day.

Sign up to register for timeslots is now open on the Parent Portal. We have a combination of our gym 5-minute conferences as well as some hybrid multifamily classroom conferences which range from 5 – 15 minutes.

There are also drop-in spots available for the classroom hybrid conferences that you can sign up on ‘the day of’.

Reminder that these are student-led, and students should attend with their family – this is especially important for the classroom hybrid conferences as the students will lead these with their families.

• Afternoon sessions run from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
• Evening sessions run from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
  
• There is no school that day for kids (other than attending their selected conference time with parents/guardians)
• The Portal Registration window will CLOSE at 3:00 pm on April 15th

• Monday, March 9: Pitt Bingo

Kick off the week at the library during Flex for a high-stakes round of Pitt Bingo! Bring your A-game to compete against other grades and rack up those early points for your class.

• Tuesday, March 10: Jeopardy

Head over to Mr. Dueck’s room (1065) during Flex to put your brainpower to the test in a classic Jeopardy showdown. Whether it’s math, science, or pie trivia, come ready to buzz in and dominate the leaderboard!

• Wednesday, March 11: Jersey Day

Rep your favorite team and show your school spirit by wearing your go-to sports jersey all day long. It’s the perfect time to represent your squad while we keep the Pi Week momentum rolling!

• Thursday, March 12: PJ Day & Story Time

Get cozy and wear your comfiest pajamas for a nostalgic Story Time with Ms. Dearman in the library during Flex. Take a break from the grind to enjoy childhood classics like Pete the Cat and The Pigeon with your friends.

• Friday, March 13: Battle of the Grades

This is the big one—the ultimate Battle of the Grades is finally here to wrap up the week! Show up loud and proud to give your class the final push they need to take home the victory.

(1) Grade 12s – The SD42 Scholarship FIRM DEADLINE is Thursday, March 12th at 3:00 p.m.

Completed application packages MUST be received at the Career Centre no later than Thursday, March 12^th by 3:00 p.m.  Late submissions will NOT be accepted as this is already a deadline extension so please… plan ahead!  Double-check that your applications packages are complete – the criteria for each scholarship/bursary is noted in the SD42 Awards Booklet.

(2) Payment and completed Cap & Gown Package Forms are due back to the office by the end of the school day on Friday, March 13th (the form was sent out on the parent portal; extras are available in the school office if needed).
