Students, as we enter the final 8 weeks of school, please be focused on completing all of your courses. As such, a few reminders:
Students in grades 8-10 should only be working in work areas supervised by teachers. So, do not go to the rotunda or outside to work.
Students in grades 11-12 can work in the rotunda with a stamped planner. Students in grades 11 and 12 can work outside at tables if you have a teacher or administrator providing direct supervision.
Finally, as the set is now being built for our next production, if the rotunda is being used for a drama class, the rotunda is closed to all students.
Students are still able to sign up the following courses for next year:
Work Experience: we will help you find a placement or you can receive credit for your paid job
Community Service: receive credits for volunteer work done in the community. There is also the potential of a Dogwood Scholarship in the area of your Community Service. See Mr. Wiens if interested in either of these opportunities.
Students looking for a summer job or for ways to get involved in community volunteering, will have a chance to connect with employers, youth programs, workshops and much more at the Youth Open House this Friday, May 6. It is being held at the Maple Ridge Public Library, from 3:00 – 6:00 pm. Parents, youth and emerging adults are all welcome to attend.
Reminder to Mr. Carriss’s Leadership students to hand in their Leadership Conference field trip forms and payments ASAP!
