Battle of the Books The Battle will take place at Westview this Thursday, April 20th. The bus leaves at 9:40am on THURSDAY! Please meet Mrs. Fulgueras’ TOC at the front of the school at 9:30am. Library News:
- the library (including book and laptop sign-out) will be closed on Thursday, April 20 as Mrs. Fulgueras will be on the Battle of The Books field trip. Plan your week accordingly.
Spring Fling Fundraising Dinner: Support agriculture education and enjoy a gourmet dinner prepared by Red Seal chefs and Culinary Arts students of the Take a Bite of BC program. Saturday, April 29 from 6:00 – 9:30 pm in the THSS rotunda. Tickets are $80 per person or $600 for a table of 8. http://www.altc.ca/bc/programs/fundraiser-dinner
LANGUAGES MULTICULTURAL SEMINAR: sign up for the next one on April 24 Y-block. It will be on celebrating Japanese food. Sign-up sheet is up in the languages area.
Poetry slam: All students wanting to participate in this year’s poetry slam taking place on Friday, April 28 need to see Mr. Clutchey or Ms. Preibisch as soon as possible!
Important Table Tennis Meeting: This Thursday at 3:00 o’clock there is a very important meeting of the Table Tennis Club in the rotunda. Anyone interested in playing in our up-coming tournament with SRT should be there.
Attention all grads: there will be a mandatory grad meeting Monday, April 24 during Y block. Lots of information will be shared with you so it is important that you attend.

The teams have now been posted. The signup sheets were very difficult to understand. Please check your team. If it is correct, you must see Mrs. Coghill by 10:00am Friday morning to confirm your team for the tournament. If you do not check in by then your team will be taken off the list.

IMPORTANT GRAD INFORMATION:
· Dogwood scholarship applications are now available in the career center. We have 28 to give away this year. Applications are due today, April 19 and presentations will be on May 2 and 3. · DRY GRAD If you are a 2017 Grad and have purchased a ticket to attend dry grad – you need to pick up the “Safe ride home” package (pink) in the office. If you have also purchased a guest ticket for dry grad – be sure to take a guest package also (green). Both packages are on the front desk. These forms need to be returned to the office ASAP – you will not receive any of your Grad tickets until these forms are received by Mrs. Shamro. · If you have received a scholarship or bursary, please bring your letter of confirmation from the issuing institute to Mrs. Sekhon in the Career Centre. We want to recognize and congratulate you at the Grad ceremony! |
