PE STUDENT AIDES
1) You must attend ONE of these three meetings this week.
Thursday, Sept 7 Block E (rotunda) or
Thursday, Sept 7 Block G (weight room) or
Friday, Sept 8 Block E (rotunda)
For your meeting you must bring your schedule and a pencil.
2) Then you must ALL attend ANOTHER meeting during Y-block on Monday, Sept 11 in the main gym.
PE Lockers (in hallway outside weight room)
They can be purchased for $10 for the year. It is yours to use for the school year, and you can leave your lock on them.
Please see Mrs. Clayton or Mrs. Coghill during block D on Wednesday or Thursday. Or Block G on Friday. One of them will be at the Girl’s PE office for the first 10 minutes of each of those blocks.
It is first come, first served.

The PNE is currently looking for Fright Night Actors to join their team for the month of October. If any students are interested with a passion for Halloween and acting, please apply to the PNE website at www.pne.ca/jobs by Sept. 10 or see Mrs. Sekhon in the career centre.
The research community at BC Children’s Hospital is pleased to present Mini Med School 2017. Each year, this popular series uses big ideas, big discoveries and big names to engage high school students in learning and discussion about health research topics. The course curriculum has been designed for students in grades 10-12. To reserve a space contact reseduc@bcchr.ca on Monday, September 25. Registration opens at 3:00 pm, seats will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Grade 11-12 students, are you interested in a career in Fire Fighting? Maple Ridge Fire Department offers a great program for students. For more info come talk to Mr. Wiens or Mrs. Sekhon in the career centre.
There will NOT be classes for Dance and Equestrian this week. Classes will begin next week as scheduled.
Auditions for supporting roles for the upcoming production of “It’s a Wonderful Life” will begin next week. Go to the theatre callboard beside the video studio for info on how to audition and to sign up for an audition time. All THSS students in ALL grades are welcome to try out.
