Scare for Hunger!!!  Brought to you by the THSS KEY Club. Come and trick or treat by dropping off non-perishable food donations to the front foyer of the school from Tuesday, October 20 to Friday, October 30. Drop them off in our spooky shopping cart and get candy!!  All donations will be donated to our local food bank!!

 

Attention Languages Students!!! Do you need a multicultural seminar (or 2) this year? If so, there are two seminars posted. Our International Food Festival for October 26th during Y block and Dia de los Muertos November 2 during Y block. Sign up in room 2145 if you would like to attend either of these seminars.

Registration for the SD42 Personal to Universal Conference will take place on November 12 and 13 and is open to all grade 10s, 11s and 12s until October 30th. We have some amazing keynote speakers who will be exploring the cost of conflict, including Dr. Samantha Nutt, who has received the Order of Canada for her work with children in conflict zones around the world, and Retired Sergeant Debbie Bodkin, has investigated war crimes for the United Nations. We are also featuring a keynote multimedia presentation on residential schools and workshops on topics from migrant justice, to climate change, LGBTQ rights, humanitarian action and homelessness. If you are interested in learning more about local and global social justice issues, then this conference is for you! Please see your Social Studies teacher, or Ms. Godfrey for an application. SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS

Be on time, and have a reversible jersey if possible

 

Any girls in grade 8 or 9/10 (junior), please listen to the announcements for team information.  Hopefully we will have these teams running soon.

 

Grade 10 – 12 students interested in being nominated to attend TD Discovery Days in Health Sciences on Dec 1, please see Mr. Wiens or Mrs. McGrath in the Career Centre right away. It’s your chance to gain a clear picture of what being a working health professional, in a real-life work setting, is actually like!

 

Intramural Volleyball sign up is now posted. Sheets will be taken down on Thursday, October 22, at the end of the day.
