Next week is Spirit Week!
Make sure to dress up every day to earn points for your team colour! Join us each day in the rotunda at lunch for more chances to earn points for your team and look out for mini games around the school daily. Monday is Pajama Day. Tuesday is Twin / Squad Day. Wednesday is Superhero / Cartoon Character Day. Thursday is Tie Dye / Hippie Day and Friday is Colour Day. Dress up, earn points for your team and show your school spirit!
Extra help available for Math 10 students: Tuesdays during 1st block and Thursdays during 2nd block in room 1149 with Ms. Bidwell. Math help will be offered every Tuesday/Thursday until April. The focus will be on learning guides 9 & 10, but help for other learning guides is also available
Doubles Table Tennis Tournament
The Table Tennis club is hosting a doubles tournament for any interested students. Sign up in the library with your partner or just sign up and we’ll find you a partner. The tournament will be held on Wednesday, March 9 from 3:00 – 4:00 pm. For more info, please see Ms. Travis or Mr. Faa
Paid Positions – Timekeepers and Scorekeepers Needed
Students needed for the Hometown Heroes Hockey Tournament from March 11th to the 14th.
Must be a student aged 15 or older. A limit of 6 game sign up maximum for the first week. Ensure to sign up quickly as we will open up more availability after the first week.
All timekeeper and scorekeepers will be paid $15 per game. Please ensure that you arrive on time. Please sign up using the following link.

Volunteer Office Person Needed
If you are not busy over spring break why not fulfill some of your required volunteer hours? Come out and volunteer for the Hometown Heroes Hockey Tournament. We are looking for students to help out with office work. Please go to the following website to sign up for Office Person. We cannot have students sign up for 50/50 or the Raffle Table. There is an age requirement. Each hour volunteered will count as two hours of volunteer time.

Youth Week Talent Show Auditions!
Youth Week is a provincial celebration of youth held annually in the first week of May. Students are invited to join in on the fun through at talent show held at the ACT Arts Centre on May 2.

Audition Times: 6:00 – 9:00 pm

ART MODELS NEEDED
Mrs. Learmonth needs models for Art class. Students who can model for two or three classes can get a free lunch from the art department! Models are needed for blocks C, E and F this week. See Mrs. Learmonth for more information.

To kick off their new Maple Ridge location, renowned Vancouver film and Television acting school Tarlington Training is offering a FREE “Auditioning for Camera” two hour workshop on Feb. 25 from 4:30 -6:30. Advance registration is required and space is rapidly filling. Open to EVERYONE aged 8-18. If you were intrigued by the film crew in the school and want to know how to nail an on camera audition- two free hours with Perter Grasso is a fantastic way to get a sense of how it all works. Thomas Haney Equestrian Academy 2016-17 applications are now being accepted. If you are a grade 9 student entering grade 10, and horses and riding define who you are, apply online.
