Anyone wanting to participate with the fishing club, please come to the Science Lab on Wednesday October 18th at lunch. All levels of experience are welcome and any grade. Come on out and have fun!
Is that snow in the mountains? Is there a chill in the air? Are you ready to feel the rush of powder? Skiers and Boarders we are gearing up for this snow season. Come to a meeting Wednesday October 25th at lunch in room 2010 to find out more about this year’s exciting trips to Whistler, Sun Peaks and more.
Do you enjoy camping and exploring the outdoors? Are you interested in hiking and exploring the beauty of some of the National Parks of Southern Utah? Come see Ms. Fischer to get more information about this year’s trip to Zion and Bryce national parks as well as Capitol Reef and Grand Staircase-Escalante.
Students are welcome to take a test October 26th before and during student conferences. The Test Centre will be open its regular hours from 8:45am to 2:35pm on that day.
Work Experience: All students see Mr. Wiens to make sure your paper work is up to date.
Attention French 11 and 12 students: If you are interested in going to Quebec City and Montreal in February with students from GSS, please e-mail Mme Harmon (andria_harmon@sd42.ca).
Mexican exchange students, Student Council, and Leadership are doing a bake sale today October 13. All the money raised will be donated for earthquake relief in Mexico. Come purchase some baked goods or donate money to help this worthy cause.
THSS Clothing and Grad Hoodies will be on sale this week. Samples will be available Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays outside the rotunda by the intramural board for the next month. Sizes are a little different, so please try on before ordering.
Order forms and pictures of what is available will be on the board next to the intramural board.
All orders are due by Wednesday, October 25.

The schools FSO (Fruit Salad Organization) meets in Mr. Takasaki’s room off of the English Great Hall, THURSDAY’S at lunch. Hope to see you there!!
INTRAMURAL INFORMATION
1) Intramural Dodgeball for grades 9 & 10. Check the schedule the tournament starts this week.
2) Intramural Volleyball sign up has now been posted. Sheets will be taken down on Oct 19.
You will sign up with a partner or as a single, then the PE department will make the teams. Please only sign up if you intend to show up. The Volleyball tournament will start in mid-November, after the grade 8 Dodgeball tournament has been completed.
GRADE 8 and 9 BOYS OPEN GYM BASKETBALL will be held on Wednesday and Friday mornings at 7:00 am.
Any students wanting to play basketball at lunch in the gym need to bring in their own ball.
Cross Country practices will be on Tuesday’s right after school. Meet in room 2140.
Calling all equestrians- if you love horses and you would like to join the Equestrian Academy students on a field trip out to the Mane Event in Chilliwack on Oct 20 (it’s a Professional day so you won’t miss any school) please see Mrs. Evans for a permission form. The cost will be $25 including admission and transportation.
All theatre students – if you want to attend Motown the Musical in February, please sign up on the theatre callboard outside the video studio.
