Please use the Parent Portal, or phone our office 604-463-2001 if your child is going to be late for school, will be leaving school early, or will be absent for the day. Unexcused absences will result in parents receiving an automated phone call and/or email to notify them of their child’s attendance.
*If your child has an approved work at home form (gr 11 & 12 only) for that day, you should not receive a phone call. Also, if your child is on a field trip, you should not receive a phone call. However, sometimes the field trip attendance is not processed until the day after the field trip. If you do receive a phone call, ask your child to check with the teacher who organized the field trip to verify the attendance record in the office.
Parent Portal Permissions
If you have not already done so, please log in to the Parent Portal and submit consent forms for all items listed as soon as possible. Permissions must be completed annually for each child. The Walking Field Trip consent is required for all PE classes as the students walk/run around the neighbourhood block. To publish your child’s photo in the yearbook, the Yearbook Consent permission must be completed in the portal. We also require all children to have updated Emergency Release Forms. We will rely on this information for releasing all students in the event of an emergency.
Medical Intervention Forms
If your child has any health care needs that require support at school, including but not limited to administration of any medication or a life-threatening condition including anaphylaxis, diabetes and seizure disorders, new medical forms must be completed every year. The school cannot assist with any medical intervention unless these forms are completed. If you have not already done so, please contact the school as soon as possible to complete a form. Please note, the medical forms for anaphylaxis and diabetes require a physician’s signature. This procedure complies with the school district policy regarding the health care needs of children at school. Student Verification Forms
Student Verification forms will be sent home with your child on Wednesday, October 5. Please review the form, make any necessary changes, sign, and return the form to the Student Records office. You may also scan the form and return via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. If the form is correct and no changes are required, including any Medical/Legal Alerts, sign to verify that you have reviewed and either return the signed form to the Student Records office or scan, and return to email@example.com.
