June 16, 2025 – Graduation rehearsal
Monday June 16 graduation rehearsal will be at 245PM in the SRT Cafeteria.
Saturday May 31, 2025 – Dinner & Dance
Dinner and dance in formal wear at Meadow Gardens Golf Course 5-1030PM. Dress to impress. Arrange your own ride (limousines allowed, no party buses or helicopters).
All grads will take buses to Dry Grad (a drug and alcohol-free all-night party) at the school following the formal dinner and dance.

May 30, 2025 – Bag drop
Bring a change of clothes and shoes, medications must be labeled (Mr. Elphick will keep them in the office). Do NOT bring any drinks or food. No bags will be permitted on Saturday. All bags will be checked by parents.

May 20, 2025 – Choose your table (dinner seating about 45-60 minutes)
Based on the priority list (posted Thursday before long weekend) you’ll be able to choose your + any guests table spot (8 students per table). Not at school this day? A friend can sign up for you, but they must line up in your spot.
Early May – Grad biographies
Every grad will have a personal write-up read as they cross the stage. Write-up sheets will be distributed through English classes. If you’re not in an English class at SRT, we’ll make sure you still get one. Keep within the word limit. Add a shout out to family, friends, teachers or add a favourite memory. All write-up as reviewed before the ceremony.
April 27, 2025 – Guest forms due back
Guest forms are available at the office. Must be in good standing in school & community. Age restrictions apply.
Monday April 14, 2025 – Guest Forms
Guest application forms will be available from the office starting Monday, April 14. The cost for a guest at the banquet only is $125.00 and the cost for a guest to attend both the banquet/dry grad is $175.00. The forms must be completed and returned with cash only by Friday, April 25. Guests attending the banquet only must have a ride home from Meadow Gardens as there will be no room on the bus for guests not attending dry grad.
April 3, 2025 – More ceremony tickets available
Now that the first round of ceremony tickets has been done, we are able to release additional tickets to families that are requiring more. Each family can purchase up to 5 additional tickets, at $10/each. This next round will only be available for cash/cheque purchase at the office. Cheques are payable to SRT.
If there are still additional tickets available after this second round, we will let families know mid May. As a reminder, all ceremony tickets will be available for grads to pick up with their cap and gown the week prior to grad. Gowns are shipped from back east so we won’t know the exact day they will arrive until the week prior to the ceremony. The intent is always for grads to have their cap and gown for the weekend prior for family photos or events.
SCHOLARSHIPS / BURSARIES – Grads who have received scholarships or bursaries should forward a copy of the letter from the university/college/organization which includes the grad’s name, the name of the award and the dollar amount. Letters can be emailed to Christine_Watts@sd42.ca or a copy brought into the office. This is always a highlight to acknowledge at our graduation ceremony.
ACCESSIBLE SEATING – The Chandos Auditorium is an excellent venue especially for those with mobility issues. The auditorium slopes very gradually so those with walkers can easily access an auditorium seat. Those who are required wheelchair seating, please email Christine_Watts@sd42.ca
