All grads and their guests must have their change of clothes, shoes and medications must be labeled (Mr. Elphick will keep them in the office) brought in on Friday May 30 to the Library (remember comfy shoes). Bags should be brought to the library and no liquids or food of any kind should be in them. No bags will be permitted on Saturday. All bags will be checked by parents.

We will be hosting a grad BBQ/tailgate party at lunch. All grads are encouraged to come and enjoy some food, music and fun with their fellow grads and staff.
May 23, 2025 – Grad biographies due
Every grad will have a personal write-up read as they cross the stage. Write-up sheets will be distributed through English classes. All write-up as reviewed before the ceremony.
May 20, 2025 – Choose your table (dinner seating about 45-60 minutes)
Based on the priority list (posted Thursday before long weekend) you’ll be able to choose your + any guests table spot (8 students per table). Not at school this day? A friend can sign up for you, but they must line up in your spot.
May 16, 2025 – More ceremony tickets available
We have enough extra tickets to release an additional 2 tickets per family. Tickets can be paid for at the office, $10/each, cash only please. As a reminder, tickets will be available for pick up the week prior to the ceremony along with their gown.

Items can be dropped off at the office at any time starting now.

DRY GRAD KITCHEN CONTACT – Angela at schlute3@shaw.ca
Baking – the kids always love a variety of home baked goodies from cookies, cupcakes, bars, brownies and rice Krispy treats. Please no cake.
If you have a connection with a restaurant business that would be willing to donate items such as pizza, samosas or springs rolls, please let Angela know.
A reminder that all leftover food from dry grad will put warmed up and put out for our grads on Monday after dry grad at lunch which they very much enjoy. Thank you in advance to all our families that are willing to donate to our dry grad event.
SCHOLARSHIPS / BURSARIES – Grads who have received scholarships or bursaries should forward a copy of the letter from the university/college/organization which includes the grad’s name, the name of the award and the dollar amount. Letters can be emailed to Christine_Watts@sd42.ca or a copy brought into the office. This is always a highlight to acknowledge at our graduation ceremony.
ACCESSIBLE SEATING – The Chandos Auditorium is an excellent venue especially for those with mobility issues. The auditorium slopes very gradually so those with walkers can easily access an auditorium seat. Those who are required wheelchair seating, please email Christine_Watts@sd42.ca
