Grade 7 Day is a day for the incoming grade 8 students to come to the school and positively get connected.
It is an opportunity to begin to explore the school community and meet some of the adults and senior students who will look to make the high school experience positive and rich. Options around year-long electives will be highlighted. Links to these programs are here:https://secondary.sd42.ca/gss/grade-7-info
Staff are supported by a group of “Link Crew” and Leadership students, who work to ensure a supportive and welcoming transition.
The Grade 7 day schedule is as follows:
8:30am – 8:45am Students arrive to the Gym Entrance
8:45am – 11:45am Classroom sessions with student leadership and teachers
11:45am – 12:20pm BBQ lunch served by the Chef and culinary program

We recommend that your student dress comfortably as there will be variety of activities that students will participate in.
Please ensure that your pick up time meets the above timeline. Additionally, note the GSS Parking lot is a challenge. We suggest a plan and walk strategy, meeting your child approximately 5 minute walk away.
