Rebels for a Cause needs your help! The Friends-In-Need food bank, here in Maple ridge, is in desperate need of support. The food banks in our community are very low in food supply, and many families are in need of their assistance. To make a real change in our community, we are asking every student and staff member to bring in at least ONE non-perishable food item to show Garibaldi’s support and care. Donations can be dropped off until November 6th either in front of the office or in Mr. Silva’s room (Room 2036). Thank you for your support!
The GSS Music Program is hosting an Autumn Serenity Sound Bath fundraiser on Friday, November 13 at 7:15 PM at Garibaldi Secondary. This relaxing evening is hosted by Wise Monkey Wellness & Yoga, with proceeds supporting the GSS Music Program. Parents, family members, friends, and community members are all welcome! Our SD42 Interdisciplinary Arts Academy presents the Tony Award winning Best Musical A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. This hilarious show, never performed in BC before, is perfect for fans of Fawlty Towers and Blackadder. A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder will have audiences in stitches as they follow our protagonist Montague Navaro “Monty” as he discovers he is in the line of succession to become Earl of Highhurst Castle. As any true gentleman of his time, Monty begins orchestrating the deaths of those in his way, all the while falling in love with two very different women! Our show will be performed by students all over Maple Ridge, with 86 students taking part as cast and crew. A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder will run from November 26- December 5.
