Dear Grads/Parents,
I feel terrible writing this letter. Our hope was that the air conditioning system at the school along with our plan to move the graduation to the cafeteria would allow us to go ahead with our ceremonies tomorrow afternoon/evening. However, I’ve just visited the school with other district staff and the system has been unable to keep up with the demands of the hot weather. Under the direction of district office, the decision has been made to postpone graduation for Health and Safety Reasons.
My plan is to have our ceremonies on Wednesday at the same times. I may add an extra graduation on Wednesday morning for those students who may be working or busy in the afternoon/evening.
I haven’t had time to fully process all this but I will be meeting with my Grad team tomorrow morning and will update you as soon as possible. I’m so sorry. We know this means a lot to our students and families because it means a lot to us too.
