SD42 has partnered with researchers at SFU and UBC to deliver the Youth Development Instrument (YDI) survey to our Grade 11 students. The YDI builds on the Early Development Instrument (EDI) and the Middle Years Development Instrument (MDI) to check in on student development, health, and well-being during adolescence, an important time as youth prepare to move into adulthood.
The YDI survey asks about your thoughts, feelings and experiences inside and outside school. After watching a short video about the project, you can enter your personal survey ID found on the slip of paper in front of you to the survey website. You can start the survey after you read and agree to the assent form.
Your data is completely confidential and your response will not be shared with school staff, so please answer honestly. You can share your contact information at the end of the survey to find out how your answers compare to your peers if you are interested.
Student Step by Step Guide:
- Students can use a school laptop or their personal device. The survey works best on Apple Safari, Google Chrome, MS Edge, MS Internet Explorer and Firefox.
