Ridge Wrestlers won the Fraser North Championships for the Girls and the Girls and Boys Combined. They placed 3rd in the Boys division. This was a tournament with over 300 wrestlers in attendance at Pinetree Secondary School. Maple Ridge finished with four gold, 8 silvers, 4 bronze, 2 fourth place finishes and 1 fifth place finish. In first place were Colby Van’t Hullenaar, Asthon Senko, Tatyana Lagrange and Tyson Deane-Freeman. 2nd place was Landon Paterson, Lily Labelle, Mikayla Pratt, Zahara Adomi, Agnia Krakovska, Callum Ross, Linden Sinow and Jackson Van’t Hullenaar. 3rd place went to Sophia Stark, Eva Fuller, Sheridan Sinow and Travis Schultz. Fourth were Bella Berner and Avery Sparrow. Fifth place went to Jackson McKay. All of these wrestlers who placed punched their ticket into the provincial championships that take place on Feb. 23 and 24th at the PNE Forum. Maple Ridge Secondary is trying to win a record 5th Provincial Title in a Row for Girls Wrestling and is also trying to win a provincial title for the Combined Boys and Girls.
