MRSS Wrestlers ruled the mats last Friday at the Fraser Valley Novice in Port Moody. Mia Haintz, Ashleigh Roy and Vitoro Versa led the way winning Golds with Mia Haintz setting a school record with an amazing 5 second pin. Mia followed that match with a come-from-behind victory pin with only 2 seconds left on the clock. Ashleigh Roy was unbelievably good as well and Gr. 12 international student Vitorio (the Monster) Versa won Gold in this his first ever wrestling tournament. Other Ridge standouts include Ethan (Parky) Parkinson – Silver, Matt Sillanpaa – Silver – Cheyenne Krvavac – Bronze. Gabe Fitzpatrick -bronze and Norah Wiles – 5th.
