The MRSS Wrestling team did very well at the Fraser North Zones. MRSS wrestling won zones for Girl Wrestling for the 6th time in a row. Contributing to this were female captains Agnia Krakovska and Sophia Stark who both placed 1st in their respective weight classes. Bella Berner, Maya Shylov were 2nd, Margot Nielsen and Zoe Ndiom were 3rd and Caelan Fuller and Mya Corney were 4th. Besides Agnia, Sophia and Bella, all other females are in their first year which means a bright future for Girl Wrestling at MRSS. The boys team placed fifth led by future captain Linden Sinow-Horton who placed 1st. Also a strong performance by Callum Ross, Ethan Corney and Tyson Deane-Freeman who placed 2nd. Overall, the MRSS wrestling team came 2nd for the Combined Title, missing first by 2 points. In total, MRSS has 22 wrestlers who qualified for Provincials. The remaining are Bronson Mann, Domenic Gaudet, Jackson Van’t Hullenaar, Lukas Rosencrans, Travis Schultz, Quinn Manweiler, Landon Peterson, Sofia Krakovska and Eva Fuller. Provincials take place in two weeks on Feb 21st and Feb 22nd at the PNE Forum. Go Ridge!
