The Ridge Wrestling team recorded some phenomenal results this past weekend at the BC Age Class Wrestling tournament held at the Upper Fraser Valley University. Overall, the team placed 1st over all in this 100+ high school tournament led by our amazing Gr. 8 Girls squad who won the Age Class title. Individually, Charly Caranoo, Ashton Senko, Kynan Haintz, and team captains Ryan Hicks and Marquesis Haintz all struck gold while Ivy Threatful, Mikayla Pratt, Adrian Truong, Soleil Brooks and Jacob McLure won the toughest medal . . the Bronze. Kaia Haintz placed 4th, Summer Chan and Maddy Grof placed 5th, while Ryan Beranek came 6th. Our next tournament is this weekend in Port Alberni followed by the inaugural Fraser North Zone Championships held a week later in the MRSS gym.
