On Friday, our Senior Lacrosse team had a big win against Centennial Secondary, beating them 9-8. It was a scary slow start for our boys, down by 5 points by the end of the 1st half. We don’t know what miracle took place, but our Ridge boys came through in the second half of the game, scoring 3 points in the 3rd quarter and 5 points in the fourth. Our big scorers of the game were Ben Coghill (scoring 3 back-to-back goals) and Cody Malawsky (scoring a hat trick). Our winning goal was scored by junior player Carter Smith. As usual, our defense team was a force! Kudos goes out to Jack Olson, Jaime Thomson, Greyson Beggs and Quintin Steinmann for being tough in “D”. Another junior who did a super job in defense was Brendan Marcher. Thank you to our juniors Ty Bikic, Cody Todd, Jaime Thomson, Carter Smith and Brendan Marcher, who bravely took on the big Centennial Seniors. It was a hard-fought battle but their hard work paid off. A very special mention goes to Riley McDonald, our greatest cheerleader, pumping our players up with his awesome tunes. Congrats team!
Come cheer on our Junior Lacrosse team today after school as they take on SRT/Garibaldi on the Karina LeBlanc field at 3:30. They sure would appreciate some good old Rambler spirit. Good luck team! Go Ramblers Go!!!!
