The junior lacrosse team has faced some tough competition and has done very well against two teams with older, more experienced players. MVP of the games have been awarded to Ben Coghill for his sheer volume of face-off wins and Quinn Mulcahy for playing well in net. Jake Young has been a force on offence while Cody Malawsky has done a great job too. Kudos go out to our eight grade 8 players who are playing well against predominantly grade 10 boys! Play resumes today at 3:15 against Royal. And, congratulations to the Senior Lacrosse team for 2 outstanding wins over Claremont and Royal Bay yesterday. Both of these island teams are lacrosse academies and arguably top 5 in our Province so our wins were that much sweeter. Both games were nail biters, with scores of 7-6 each. Every player is to be congratulated on their efforts but special mentions go to Sawyer Morais who scored a hat trick vs Claremont, Brayden Laity who was amazing both games in defence, and Gavin Mulcahy who went “full beast mode” in net both games. Both Brayden and Gavin were nominated MVPs! These guys are headed into today’s game in 1st place in their pool! An extra shout out to Noah Bradley and Jacob Pahnke who played against each other the Provincial All Star game. It was a tie, 7-7 with Noah having scored. Rambler Power!
