Ridge Badminton 5th in BC!

Over the weekend, Maple Ridge’s Badminton Team represented the Fraser Valley Zone in the 2020 BC Winter Games in Fort St. John.  The players represented the school and Fraser Valley Zone admirably by facing the best badminton talent in the province and earned 5th place.  Their determined effort and positive attitude also won them The Most Sportsmanlike Team award.

In addition to the team events, there was an individual skills event in which many on the team won medals:

Celine Castres won a Bronze

Nethkini Liyanage won a Silver

Hyunwoo Kim & Abby Sun won Gold Medals.
