It was a thrill to watch athletes compete at the 20th Annual Nick Wilkes Track Meet yesterday with Ridge being the overall winner for points. A few highlights include: The Senior Boys race go in 10.74 seconds, Elijah Headley winning the 1500m, Connor Turnbull winning Shot Put, Maya Wojcik 2nd in Javelin, Lauren Curtis & Ellena Gabellini winning 1st & 2nd in the Hammer Throw with both throwing over 40 meters, Claire Catherwood running 61 seconds for 3rd in the 400m, Alijah Adomi with a long jump of nearly 5 metres, Gabe Headley winning the Junior 1500m and Derek Frimpong winning the Junior 400m and anchoring the Relay team to victory! Thank you to all the staff that helped make the meet such a success and to the Athletic Leadership class for all their help too!
