December 6th is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, established after the murder of 14 young women at Polytechnic Montreal on December 6, 1989. Ways to observe and honour the victims:
- Wear a white ribbon on the day
- Observe a minute of silence at 11am on December 6
